Bugs found

Post by cheng » Thu Oct 16, 2003 4:01 pm

I am trying 2.0.53 FG with RECON data collector.
Some bugs found:
(1) Sideshot ID : same ID will appear in RAW files (except those ID with _IGNORE_PREV_SS_)
(2) when deleting 1 or more point(s), the Sideshot ID sometimes will be
mess (e.g. there are ID 1000 - 1500, deleting 1498 will cause next ID to 1 or something else, not the expecting #1501)
(3) Bugs found also in fbk file:
a. e.g. there is ID# 1000 in linework list (BEG .... END), but can not find any observations related to this ID in the same file (.fbk).
b. I tried 'Cogo - Points - Copy points' to copy points, e.g.
copy 100-104 to 1000-1004 and then delete 100-104, also manually
adjust the related linework (those related to 100-104).
but when exporting fbk file, still found ID100-104 in FBK's observation
list (not 1000 - 1004)
(4) take too long when
a. export XYZ file
b. delete or copy point(s)

Hi Cheng,

1) Can you be more specific with the problem you're reporting.

2) This is a known issue and will be addressed in a future version.

3a) Are you certain that the points you connected were not computed, imported or calculated? These types of points do not get stored in the raw file, only observations. This applies to the FBK export as well.

3b) This is not a bug. The raw file is intended to be a pernament record of all your observations in the field. FieldGenius doesn't update the raw file when you choose to change the original point id. The FBK export simply makes a copy of the RAW file.
