Negative Elevation

Post by bobL » Wed Nov 12, 2003 6:34 am

When doing topo's, I sometimes get shots with an elevation of -5.0000, this seems to occur at random. I've carefully reviewed my steps and I can't seem to figure out why the program is doing this, the HR ,HI and angles appear normal and I don't do anything out of the ordinary before
or after the shot. Has anyone experienced this problem or is it just something I am doing wrong? We have a Panasonic Toughbook with XG.

Hi Bob,

It sounds like a bug that appeared in an earlier version of FieldGenius around the XG 1.5 version (January 2003). You need to install the latest version which is FieldGenius XG 2.0.61.

To correct your file, make sure to recordinate your observations in your desktop software.
