Problem

If you have installed MicroSurvey CAD 2010 v10.2.0 and are attempting to install the Advanced Training Movies, you may see the following error message:

Solution

You can fix this by creating a registry value in your system, as follows:

1. Start your Windows Registry Editor.
   • In Windows XP, click on Start | Run, and type REGEDIT and press OK.
   • In Windows Vista or Windows 7, click on Start, and type REGEDIT in the Search bar and press Enter
2. Navigate into the following registry key:
   • In 32-bit Windows, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicroSurvey\MSCAD2010\
   • In 64-bit Windows, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MicroSurvey\MSCAD2010\
3. Go to Edit | New | String Value and name it "Installed" (with a capital I, without the quotes)
4. Double-click on your new "Installed" value, and assign it the value data "YES" (with all capitals, without the quotes)
5. Exit from the Registry Editor.
6. Run the MicroSurvey CAD 2010 Advanced Movies installation file again.
