Tablet Edition License Policy Change
Posted by Jason Poitras on 21 March 2012 11:03 AM
Prior to March 19, 2012, users who bought a copy of one of our mobile products were also granted a free courtesy license to use on their desktop computer.  With the increased use of Tablet PC computers for surveying and mapping, we have been forced to change our policy.  Effective immediately free courtesy licenses for the desktop Tablet Edition of our mobile products are no longer offered.

Demo Mode

The Tablet Edition can be installed and run in demo mode.  It is limited to storing 30 points and opening projects with no more than 30 points.  All instrument drivers are enabled.

Purchase a License

A license can be purchased for the Tablet Edition and four modules are available for sale.  Please call your sales representative if you want to purchase a license or have any questions about the Tablet Edition.

New Free MicroSurvey Data Exchange

Available immediately is a new product made specifically for our mobile product users.  The product is called MicroSurvey Data Exchange and you can learn more about here.

Products Affected

The new license policy affects the following products: FieldGenius, Evidence Recorder, and Seismic Surveyor.  Also affected are all products we build for OEM partners.
