MicroSurvey / Hexagon Acquisition User's FAQ
On January 19, 2012 MicroSurvey issued a press-release announcing the acquisition of MicroSurvey by The Hexagon Group. With the support of the Hexagon Group, there will be a stronger network that will help MicroSurvey grow. This backing will ensure MicroSurvey is able to continue to create the most powerful and user friendly software on the market for decades to come.
How will this acquisition
affect the structure of the company?
MicroSurvey will continue to operate as a separate business entity. There will be no change in the day-to-day operations. MicroSurvey will still continue to innovate and develop our existing software suites and continue to provide the same personal service to our customers they have come to expect from us.
Will there be changes in management,
sales and development at MicroSurvey?
No, all of the staff at MicroSurvey will stay in their positions and continue to run the company as it has always been run. The staff at MicroSurvey will not be reduced or moved into new positions.
Where will the company be
located?
MicroSurvey is currently located at #205-3500 Carrington Rd, West Kelowna, BC in Canada. The company will not be moving to a new location.
Why is MicroSurvey
confident that their acquisition will go smoothly?
MicroSurvey is dedicated to customer satisfaction and has plans to
provide the smoothest transition possible without disruption of service to our
customers. As MicroSurvey will continue to operate as its own entity, there
should be no interference in our daily business. We will be consulting with Hexagon regularly
throughout the process to help keep our partners, customers and employees well
informed.
Are there any plans to
discontinue any products or services of MicroSurvey’s?
All of MicroSurvey products will continue
to be available for purchase. We pride ourselves on the fact that we are a
customer-driven company and we would like to reassure our customers that we
will continue to evaluate and answer our customer demands to help shape our
current and future products.
What are MicroSurvey’s
plans for MicroSurvey CAD and FieldGenius?
MicroSurvey will continue to work on improving both MSCAD and FieldGenius, as both programs are our priority.
How will the acquisition impact new product development?
There will be no impact. The R&D
team will continue to develop new products and enhancements just as before.
Will the release cycles
for products be affected?
No, as always we will try to get the products released as soon as possible. We will continue working on each product extensively to make sure that the cycles are not interrupted.

Will my Sales Representative
change?
The Sales team at MicroSurvey will continue to help customers as normal. MicroSurvey will be working with Hexagon and their Sales staff so in the future customers can purchase from them as well.
Who should I contact for
customer service and support?
MicroSurvey will still be offering customer support to customers, with valid support contracts, through our support ticket system. Please contact your Sales Representative if you have any questions regarding our support contracts.
What about current
customer maintenance agreements?
All maintenance agreements which are still valid will continue to be offered support. This service will still be offered by MicroSurvey for MicroSurvey CAD, InCAD, FieldGenius, STAR*NET and embeddedCAD products. If you are interested in our maintenance agreements please contact MicroSurvey and we can direct you to one of our Sales Representatives for more information.
Will customer’s still be
able to buy products through Dealers?
MicroSurvey Dealers will still be selling all of our products. MicroSurvey will be working towards creating partner relationships with Hexagon’s current distributors.
