Flexibility for the home and office.

The TAKE-HOME OPTION feature in MicroSurvey CAD 2005 gives users the flexibility to move the license for up to 5 days. It is good for bringing work home with you in the evenings and on weekends or out in the field( I know there are people out there reading this saying “ don’t tell the boss about this feature”). Please ensure all Service Packs have been installed into MicroSurvey CAD before attempting this option.

1) Install MicroSurvey CAD on the computer you are transferring the license to ( it can be in expired demo mode- it doesn’t matter).

2) Retrieve the USER CODE #2 from this computer by going into REGISTER NOW (instead of running Demo Mode), MY COMPUTER,CREATE REGISTRATION FORM TO FAX OR EMAIL( if you have the program open you can also access the registration page by going to the HELP Menu and then picking on Product Registration).

You will notice the User Codes at the bottom right corner of the Registration Form. Record the User Code 2, you will need it at the office to complete the Take Home Option. Exit out of the program. Easy so far, and it doesn’t get any more difficult.

3) You are now prepared to do the TAKE-HOME OPTION on the computer that MSCAD2005 is permanently registered on. Start the MSCAD 2005 program and open any file.

4) Go to the HELP MENU and pick CHECK OUT OPTIONS. At the bottom right corner you will notice that you must specify the amount of days you wish to take the license out for.

Day 1 is the day you are doing the TAKE-HOME OPTION and you have the ability to check out up to 5 days (NOTE: this will disable MicroSurvey CAD 2005 on your office computer from the time you do the option until midnight of the night you have entered in the NUMBER OF DAYS).

5) Once you have specified the number of days you would like to check the license out for, pick the TAKE HOME button. Enter in the User Code 2 when prompted. You will be asked to browse your directory and locate a folder to enter your TRANSFER.LIC file into. You can either email yourself the TRANSFER.LIC file, take it on a floppy disk or USB key.

It's that easy.
