Q) I am new to all this CAD stuff.
All I want to do is draw lines between my points. What is
the easiest way to do this?
A) When learning a new program such as MSCAD, there are always
many ways to get a task done. The trick is to find the easiest
and fasted way, that works for you. To draw lines between
your survey points the easiest way is to type in the command
COGO (or pick it off the options bar just above the diagram)
and then type in the 2 point numbers separated by 2 dots.
E.g. 45..64 This would draw a line from point 45 to point
64. Depending upon how your System Toggles are set, you will
also get a bearing and distance labeling the line. The line
is drawn in 2D. Another easy method is to take your crosshair
and pick on an exiting line – this brings up CADLines
and gives you may options.
