Q) During the reinstallation of FG XG, on my data
collector, I get the following dialog. I tried picking on
YES but the message does not go away. If I pick on NO or
CANCEL, then FG XG does not get installed. What is happening?
What do I need to do?
A) The file that is allowing FG XG to communicate with the
computer (FGENSyncObj.dll) is currently in use and we are
attempting to reinstall the file. Obviously the file can
not be reinstalled while it is in use. To solve this issue,
simply remove the data collector from it's
cradle or disconnect it from the cable (this disconnects it
from your computer so the file is no longer in use). Do not
turn the power off. Now pick on the YES button and the installation
should continue without any problem.
