Linetype improvments in SP7 caused problems viewing and plotting.  These have been improved again in SP9.  Additional improvements in DWG compatibility and MSCAD2002 FLX compatibility are also included in this service pack.  Dynasnap problems have been fixed which would cause the CPU to max at 100% of the processing power.  Further speed improvements have been added to this version.  Mtext editing has been improved. Linetype handling is improved.  Some AutoCAD 2004 drawings were displaying problems with polyline elevations.  QSAVE, SAVEAS, and SAVE were not working correctly after a purge of a drawing with custom linetypes.  Some FLX files were not saving correctly as DWG files.  The QLEADER command was not drawing the correct arrowhead.

General MicroSurvey Enhancements:

MicroSurvey continues to make product wide improvements for stability.

The main focus of this upgrade is to continue with improvements on DWG compatibility and general editing command stability.  Your reports and feedback help us to improve the product.  Please continue to send us information about your experience with MSCAD.  Feedback can be entered here.

Note regarding IPN functionality.  In SP6 we added mouse wheel and dynamic pan support to the IPN program.  In large files this can slow down the operation of the system too much, so we modified the program to give you control over these features.  The IPN settings dialog now has an extra item "Refresh during dynamic pan and zoom".  This is set to off by default.  Typing IPSETTINGS at the command line will load this dialog.

Other improvements:

The Project Manager is back, and you can now choose to turn it off if you are used to the new method of opening and creating drawings.

The update now allows the program to run under Windows NT 4.0 with SP6a installed.

Two new commands:

COORDINATE_TABLE - will create a table of coordinates from a comma delimited ASCII File, or it will create them from the points in the drawing.  A number of options are available to list the points with spacing or comma separation, scaling, layers, etc.

DESCRIPTIONTABLE - this is a special command that will create a table of inverses that are listed by description instead of point number.  The points must have descriptions, and the table will list like this:

DESC - DESC  BEARING  DISTANCE

Fast Area Command - This command would on occasion report that it couldn't compute an area because the figure didn't close. This is now fixed.

Reverse Line Bearing - This didn't work if the user had the "Reference North" toggle turned on in their labeling defaults. A message will now appear to remind you to turn this feature off.

A false Error message, "MicroSurvey Database is Open" would appear from time to time. This has been fixed.

IPN Settings - changing IPN height sometimes wouldn't be reflected in the drawing. This has been fixed.

IPN, IPE and IPD - These will be refreshed automatically when zooming and panning with your wheel mouse.

Traverse Editor - If you open the Active Traverse Editor and there are now traverse file, you will be asked if you would like to create a new traverse file.

Traverse Editor - You can now double click the gray box next to a shot, and it will be highlighted in your drawing.

Traverse Editor - You can highlight single or multiple shots in the active traverse editor and right click on the selection. You will now see a zoom shot and zoom to shots function.

Traverse Editor - In the file menu you can open the active coordinate editor using the "Open Coord Editor" command.

Traverse Editor - RW5 support has been improved. In the Format Menu you can now turn on "Show FG/TDS Notes" which will display all records in the TDS or FieldGenius 2004 raw file.

RW5 Import - Now have the option of ignoring AP (adjusted point) records in the TDS raw files.

Traverse Editor - Re-coordination of traverse files. Some times if the user had multiple drawing open, the re-coordination command could add the coordinates to the wrong project. This has now been resolved.

SyncWizard - This command has been optimized to two screens and now supports FieldGenius 2004 projects.

Coordinate Editor - If the user has multiple drawings open, the coordinate editor will display the correct coordinate file. The program will automatically switch drawings if you switch to a different ADT coordinate listing.

Coordinate Editor - Undo command now fixed.

Importing GRE raw file import - shots with a target height of zero would use the previous non zero target height in the raw file. This has now been fixed to accept a zero target height.

Export Starnet - This wasn't working correctly and is now fixed.

Geodimeter Offset Shots - during import if we found an offset record we continued using it for subsequent shots.

COGO Grade option now computes elevations in addition to slopes.
