In this video, you will hear from Bob Epstein, PLS, of Hunsaker and Associates. Bob, along with his colleague Jon, played a key role in suggesting this enhancement to the STAR*NET development team. Their insights were instrumental in shaping this new capability.

STAR*NET 13: New Capabilities

As I am sure many are aware, STAR*NET Version 13 was recently released, bringing a wave of innovation to MicroSurvey’s least squares adjustment software. We are excited to introduce you to the new capabilities of STAR*NET Version 13, which will transform the way you handle point data and further streamline your workflow.
The highlight of this release is the newly designed workflow to address potential issues that arise when data has conflicting descriptions for the same point. This new feature was inspired by feedback from our valued users and developed to enhance your data processing experience.
“In 1987, is when I got introduced to StarNet because before that we didn’t have PCS, we had a Mainframe computer system and we ran a least squares adjustment on that system. It would almost take you overnight to run it because it would bring the computer to a halt, and this is just for a very simple traverse survey. StarNet was infinitely faster. We purchased a seat or two of them at that time as we all started to get PCS to replace our Mainframe Kogo system, and I loved it ever since.” – Bob Epstein, PLS
