MicroSurvey Announces OfficeSync® – A Wireless Data Management Service for Land Surveying Firms
WESTBANK, BC, February 01, 2005 – MicroSurvey Software Inc, a leading developer of specialized software for land surveyors is pleased to announce the release of OfficeSync, a wireless data management service for Land Surveying Companies. OfficeSync establishes a secure and reliable wireless “data pipeline” between remote field crews and their offices. With OfficeSync any electronic files can be transferred easily with no file size limitations or hardware configuration hurdles.
OfficeSync saves time and increases profitability for surveyors who regularly move important data files between the job site and their offices. OfficeSync controls the assignment and distribution of job files or construction documents to field crews, thus eliminating the management and coordination difficulties of using personal email accounts or numerous cellular phone plans. All data transactions are centrally controlled.
OfficeSync has two key advantages: 1. Reliable and easy to use, it requires virtually no training and; 2. all transactions are managed and coordinated through a central Interagent called the OfficeSync Gateway. The Gateway maintains an audit trail of all wireless document traffic, ensuring an accurate and accountable record of data transfers for the company. Many different reports are available to analyze the transfers by job, customer, field crew, or office staff.

No existing cellular phone or wireless data plan is required – all communication software and hardware is included with the OfficeSync service. Service plans start at $99 per month.
